1. Introduction

Welcome to Gumeo. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Gumeo mobile app, website, and related services. By using Gumeo, you agree to these Terms.

2. Gumeo Services

2.1 Practice Features

Gumeo provides tools designed to help guitar players build consistent practice habits, including:

• Daily practice plans and recommendations
• Practice timers, session state, and completion tracking
• Progress, XP, levels, streaks, and category summaries
• Practice tools such as metronome, scales, chord dictionary, chord identification, ear training, and arpeggios
• Widgets and Live Activities for practice progress and timers
• Lock-In mode for focused sessions using Apple's Screen Time-related APIs

2.2 Accounts and Cloud Sync

Gumeo requires sign-in to use the app. You may sign in with supported providers such as Apple or Google. Cloud sync may store your profile, onboarding preferences, and practice progress so your account can restore practice state across sessions and supported devices.

2.3 Lock-In Mode

Lock-In mode can restrict selected apps, categories, or web domains during a focus session using Apple's FamilyControls, DeviceActivity, and ManagedSettings frameworks. You are responsible for choosing what to restrict and for understanding that enabling Lock-In may temporarily limit access to selected content on your device.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

• Gumeo may offer free and paid features.
• Paid features or subscriptions, when available, are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system.
• Apple handles billing, renewal, cancellation, and eligible refunds for App Store purchases.
• You can manage or cancel App Store subscriptions through your Apple ID settings.
• Prices, feature availability, and subscription offerings may vary by region and may change over time.

4. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use Gumeo lawfully and only for personal practice and productivity purposes
• Keep your account credentials and device access secure
• Provide accurate account information when required
• Respect Apple's App Store terms and any applicable platform rules
• Not reverse engineer, copy, abuse, overload, or interfere with Gumeo or its infrastructure
• Not attempt to bypass security, account, payment, or access-control mechanisms

5. Practice Guidance and Results

Gumeo helps organize and track practice, but it does not guarantee musical results, skill improvement, exam outcomes, performance outcomes, or uninterrupted practice habits. Recommendations and progress displays are informational and should be used with your own judgment.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of Gumeo is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information Gumeo collects and how it is used.

7. Changes to the Service

We may add, modify, suspend, or remove features as Gumeo develops. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Gumeo after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

8. Account Deletion and Termination

You may delete your account from the app settings. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe your use violates these Terms, creates risk, or is otherwise harmful to Gumeo, users, or service providers.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Gumeo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses resulting from your use of or inability to use Gumeo.
